I help young adults in New York find steadier footing — navigating career, relationships, and identity in a world that’s louder, faster, and more uncertain than any generation has faced before.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) offering private, in-person therapy on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, and online across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

Much of my young-adult practice is people who recognize themselves in patterns like these:
Young adults today are asked to build a life in a landscape with almost no fixed reference points. The economy is uncertain and, in many ways, unprecedented. Careers no longer live only on LinkedIn — they live in your phone, where a whole professional life can be built, invented, or performed, and where it can feel like everyone but you has already figured it out. Relationships are chosen by a swipe or the crafting of a profile. And the people we love are always a tap away, which leaves us feeling more connected and more alone than ever at the same time.
It’s no surprise that young people are struggling with their mental health more than any generation before them. This is a world designed to capture your attention and, if you let it, to decide for you — what to want, who to be, what “enough” looks like. Without intention, those decisions get made by default. Much of our work is helping you reclaim that intention: to understand your own values clearly enough that you, not the noise around you, are the one choosing.
My work with young adults is values-based and grounded in practical, evidence-based tools, including CBT and DBT. Together we cut through the noise to understand what’s driving the anxiety, the indecision, or the sense of being stuck — and to get clear on what you genuinely want, rather than what you’ve absorbed from everyone else. I’ll say plainly what I’m noticing, because at a moment when so much is pulling for your attention, having one honest, steady space to think can change everything.
This work is for young adults ready to understand themselves more clearly and move through this chapter with intention rather than drift. Much of my practice is ambitious, high-achieving, and sometimes high-profile young people who need a genuinely private place to sort out who they are and where they’re going. If that’s where you are, we’ll likely be a good fit.
“I have seen Nicole for about 2.5 years. Every single session with her had been very helpful and eye opening.”
“I have been working with Nicole for what feels like forever. I can't remember a time before Nicole! Meeting with her has become such a grounding place in my week. She's incredibly understanding and open to what you have to say. And at the same time, she is wonderfully straightforward and practical. She's able to bring all my worries, stressors, and insecurities back to reality and help me see what's truly going on. I highly recommend!”
“Nicole is a fantastic therapist and I can't recommend her highly enough. I've worked with her for over a year now and she's helped me build much better management strategies for the stress of life, health issues, and political uncertainty. Above all, I appreciate Nicole's practicality, and it's probably why I've worked with her so long. She helps me realize what I can and can't control and how to cope with that which is outside my control. She's a great listener and usually each session highlights at least one change in behavior we can try the following week to see how it helps. She also holds me accountable in a loving yet growth oriented way, such as highlighting when I repeat the same actions repeatedly despite talking about change.”
“Nicole has been my therapist for about a year and a half now, and I feel more capable of confidently dealing with life's stressors and uncertainties as a result. She has a non-judgemental and welcoming approach to therapy that makes it easy to open up to her. I recommend!”
“I've been working with Nicole for some time now and I can say that she truly cares for her patients. She has given me perspective on situations in my life as well as practices to implement. Overall, I've felt a significant improvement to my quality of life after having worked with her.”
“Nicole is personable, knowledgeable, kind, and fully invested in her patients. I always feel seen and hear by her, even in the moments where she nudges me to push beyond my perceptions and perceived limitations. Working with her has undoubtedly improved my relationships, my day to day and ultimately my mental well-being.”
“I have been seeing Nicole for months and have noticed a huge improvement within my life. She is attentive, patient and reassuring. Every session she makes sure I feel comfortable and understood. I highly recommend!”
“Nicole is an extremely thoughtful, empathetic, and skilled clinician who has helped me through many challenging life experiences. Nicole fosters a safe and supportive environment while also encouraging me to push myself in order to meet my goals.”
“Nicole is incredibly patient and excels at understanding/accepting multiple truths, even if contradictory while working to find a path forward. Nicole understands how to leave blank space and push when necessary. These are aspects that you would cherish from a great friend. 10/10.”
“I want to highlight the two years I've spent working with Nicole as my therapist. Nicole is truly exceptional. When I first came to her, I had a clear set of issues I wanted to address. From the beginning, she created a safe space where I could be vulnerable. What sets Nicole apart is her dedication. She didn't just listen — she went above and beyond every week, researching anything she felt she could deepen her understanding of. Nicole is deeply well-versed in a range of topics and therapeutic approaches. She views every challenge as an opportunity to grow, which, in turn, helped me grow and tackle the issues I was facing.”
“After my first therapist at this practice moved on, I started seeing Nicole on a weekly basis. I appreciate how authentic and honest she is while listening and helping me process the different topics I bring to our weekly sessions. She helps me understand different aspects of my life by pushing me to think beyond the surface and go deeper into my own understanding of self.”
Absolutely — this is one of the most common reasons young adults come in. You don’t need a diagnosis or a crisis to benefit; feeling stuck, uncertain, or quietly behind is reason enough. Often the sense of being “behind” isn’t about your actual life at all, but about measuring yourself against a stream of curated images and expectations. Therapy is a place to step out of that comparison and get clear on what you actually want.
In a sense, yes — this generation is navigating genuinely unprecedented pressures, and a lot of anxiety is an understandable response to them. But “common” doesn’t mean you have to carry it alone or wait for it to pass. What matters isn’t whether the anxiety is normal; it’s whether it’s running your decisions and quietly shaping your life. Therapy helps you understand it and relate to it differently, so it stops steering from the background.
This is some of the most valuable work we can do together. So much of modern life is designed to decide for you — what to want, who to be, what success should look like — and without intention, those defaults quietly take over. Together we work to clarify your own values, apart from the noise, so that your choices about career, relationships, and direction actually belong to you.
Both — because for young adults, they’re rarely separate. Questions about what to do with your life, who you are, and how you feel are deeply intertwined, and I treat them that way. Whether you’re paralyzed by a decision, questioning a path you thought you wanted, or just trying to figure out who you are underneath everyone’s expectations, that’s very much part of the work.
That’s completely okay, and more common than you’d think. You don’t need to arrive with the right words or a clear agenda; you just need to show up. Part of my role is to help you make sense of what you’re feeling, even when it’s tangled or hard to name. We’ll start wherever you are — no preparation required.
Consultations are held privately and by inquiry.
